Setup Definition

The Setup Definition allows you to prepare the Sound database, the response Screens, the rating scale and layout for the conduction of the listening test.

Creating the Instructions Sheet
The Instructions allow to presents the context of the listening test, to the participants, and clearly describe the task that they are asked to fulfill during the listening test. Before starting the listening test, the operator will print out these instructions sheet and gives them to each participant. This ensures that all the participants have the same information before starting the test.
Creating the Welcome Screen
This section shows how to design the welcome screen used to greet the participant and to present the listening test objective during a Session.
Creating the Preliminary Questions
This section helps to design the response Screen used to collect information about the participants.
Sound Database Management
From the sound database, you can manage the set of sounds to be evaluated during the listening test. Ansys Sound: Jury Listening Test can play calibrated sounds that are played at the ears of the participants as accurately as possible with respect to the real sound.

Adding Optional Questions
This section helps to design the response screen used to collect further the participants' feedback. Contrary to the preliminary questions, these questions are asked after the listening test itself. This is useful for asking feedback from the participants, or asking particular questions that might have influenced participants' answers during the listening test if they had been asked before.
Creating the End Screen
This section helps to design the last screen before closing a session to thank the participant and have him/her call the operator.
