Creating the Preliminary Questions

This section helps to design the response Screen used to collect information about the participants.

Note: Only the Name field is mandatory. For example, in the context of sound perception in train passenger cars, you can also ask for the name, age, gender and travel frequency.

To Create the Preliminary Questions:

  1. In the Navigation panel, choose Preliminary questions.
    • In Predefined questions, select a question and then click Insert selected .

      Note: Once added, a predefined question can be edited. You can change the question label, modify the list of predefined answers, etc.
    • In Customized questions, select:

      • Free-answer then, click the arrow to add a question whose expected answer is textual. For example, "What is your occupation?"

      • Multiple-choice (single answer) then, click the arrow to add a question whose expected answer is a single choice among several predefined answers. For example, "What is your gender? male/Female".

      • Numerical-answer then, click the arrow to add a question whose expected answer is numerical. For example "How old are you?"

      • Multiple-choice (multiple answers) then, click the arrow to add a question to which several choices can be made among the predefined answers. For example, "What are your hobbies? Sport/Music/Movies/etc.".

  2. Repeat the procedure as many time as necessary.

The Preliminary questions are created.

Now, you need to import sounds.
