Several operations for handling an entity or multiple entities are supported as follows.

| Operation | Description |
| Entity Creation | Create an entity by clicking the entity button on the ribbon menu. For a sub-entity, you must click the blank row in the list page of corresponding sub-entity window. |
| Entity Selection | Select an entity by clicking the entity name in the Subsystem Navigator or the entity graphics in the working window. For a sub-entity, you must click the first column of the entity in the list page of the corresponding sub-entity window. |
| Entity Properties Access and Modification | Open and modify the property dialog for an entity by double-clicking the entity name in the Subsystem Navigator, double-clicking the entity graphics in the working window, or selecting the option from the context-sensitive menu after entity selection. For a sub-entity, you must click and modify an input field in the list page of the corresponding sub-entity window. |
| Entity Picking | Pick an entity from another entity. This operation is required when using the General Picker and is the same as that for entity selection. |
| Entity Deletion | You can delete an entity by clicking from the drop-down menu after entity selection. For a sub-entity, you can also delete the entity by clicking the button in the list page after entity selection. |
Note: The creation and referencing operations are not available for multiple entities.
