A Request can define a simulation result such as the structural request, kinematic request, entity request and connected entity request. The structural request can report the stress and strain on a faceset or of marker. This request is available on the flexible bodies. If the faceset or marker of rigid body is selected, the structural request will return zero value. The kinematic request can report the relative displacement, velocity, and acceleration between two markers. The structural and kinematic requests are written in OUT file. The entity request is available for the general entities and entities of Links, Drivetrain and Car toolkits. The connected entity request is only available for the body such as rigid body, flexible body and EasyFlex body. This is used to decide to record the results of the connector and contact entities that connected with the selected bodies. The entity request and connected entity request have higher priority to decide to record result than result record option in the modify simulation case window. These features helps to reduce the result file size.

The entity request and connected entity request have a difference with the kinematics and structural request. These features are just used to define whether the simulation results are recorded or not. So, the entity request and connected entity request don't create the entities for the Postprocessor's object navigator. The limitations to use requests are as shown in the table below.
