The UI Options group includes the following categories and preferences.

Main Window Title Theme (Windows Only) | Merge Ribbon with Title Bar | This preference merges the title bar of the Mechanical interface with the ribbon in order to save space. When active, there is a potential display issue. If you are working in full screen mode (only) and you are running a lengthy process, it is possible that the application becomes unresponsive (“not responding”). In this situation, the Mechanical interface enlarges and covers your entire screen – including the Task Bar. This is undesirable. To eliminate this display limitation, given the required situation, disable the preference. Options include | (default) and .

Toolbar Customization | Show All Categories | This preference enables you to display all of the options available in the application. All toolbars from all panes, all commands from all Ribbon tabs, User Buttons, External ACT Extensions, etc. This gives you maximum flexibility for toolbar customization. UI Controls | Ribbon/Toolbar Refresh | Options include | (default) and . If set to , the application refreshes the ribbon and toolbar controls every 100ms. If set to , the application does not refresh automatically. Rather, it refreshes only as a result of certain actions taken in the application. Refreshing options ensures proper display and operation.
Details View Combo Boxes | This preference enables you to change the default setting for the ability to search drop-down lists in the Details view. Options include (default) and . |
