Saving a Preset

This procedure shows how to save your current set of sound samples and their settings, such as mappers, gains, and spatialization.

  1. Go to the Presets tab.
If there are changes to save, there will be an asterisk on the preset button .
  2. Click the Save As button above the preset to save it for the first time or with a new name.
  3. Select a location on the disk, name the preset file, and save it.
  4. Alternatively, click the Save button to update the currently-loaded preset.

The preset file will be saved inside a folder of the name you enter, along with three subfolders:

    • BOX : .box files used in the preset.
    • WAVE : .wav files used in the preset.
    • PREPROCESSING : SEVpreproc file with all currently defined preprocessing formulas (except that of preset selection, which is stored in the project instead, see Saving a Project).

The asterisk will disappear once the preset is saved.

Note: The default presets cannot be updated or overwritten using the save feature.
You saved your preset.
Note: A preset does not include the Mute or Solo settings of sound functions, loopers, oscillators, or granulators, nor the audio output parameters and configuration. It does, however, include the activation and display order options for each looper, oscillator and granulator, as well as any defined parametric filters and the preset gain setting.
Note: To share your saved preset, or move it to another computer, simply share or move the folder containing the preset file, along with its BOX, PREPROCESSING and WAVE subfolders.
To load the saved preset, see Loading a Preset.

To export the saved preset data, see Export Preset Data.
