Assigning materials in CAD and PLM applications

You can assign materials from your Granta MI database to assemblies, part models or product structures in Creo, NX, Teamcenter, and Windchill. The material assignment contains values of material properties (such as density), and includes a consistent, traceable link back to the source record.

If assignment of processes, surface treatments, or colors is enabled your Granta MI system, you can assign these in the same way as materials.

• Find materials to assign (and other types of data, where enabled) in the upper half of the Gateway window.
• View and manage the Granta data assigned to your assembly, part model, or product structure in the lower half of the Gateway window (the assignments panel).
