View and manage your assignments

The assignments panel in the lower half of the Gateway window shows the Granta materials that are currently assigned. If other types of assignment (processes, surface treatments, colors) are enabled, these are shown in additional columns.

In Creo and NX, the assignments panel will look slightly different depending on whether you opened Gateway by right-clicking in the part model (to view a selection of parts), or from the main toolbar in Creo or NX (to view the full assembly or current work part).

  • To see more information about an assignment, right-click and select View datasheet.
  • To remove an assignment, right-click and select Remove > Material. This deletes the Granta material from the part (when assigning to parts) or body (when assigning to bodies) in your CAD or PLM application.

Tip: To remove a process, surface treatment, or color assignment, right-click and select Remove followed by the assignment type.
  • You can also copy and paste assignments from one part to another (when assigning to parts), or from one body to another (when assigning to bodies), using the right-click menu.

    Note:
    • If process, surface treatment, or color assignments are enabled, copying and pasting a row of assignments will overwrite all assignments in that row.
    • If alternate assignments are enabled, you can either copy and paste a single row of assignments, or copy and paste all assignments on a part or body. See Assigning alternate materials.
