The tool comes with a set of standard reports for a number of artefacts and domain specific work products. To start a specific report do the following:
Select the appropriate model in the Model Browser
Open the context menu by right clicking and bring up the Report sub-menu. As alternative the top level "Report" menu lists the same entries
Choose the appropriate report (e.g. "FMEA Report") which will bring up the reporting wizard.
See the following subsections on which standard reports are available. If you are missing a report checkout Generating a custom report.
Fault trees can be generated into an autmatically paginated report. The report can start at any intermediate event and generates all reachable gates and branches into a consistent report:
Go to the report menu and choose "Paginated FTA Report..." (cp. also Standard Tool Reports)
The reporting wizard comes up. The file format options are restricted to PDF and Word.
Specify a file name and page optionally the page format and hit "Next".
After successful generation the document is ready. The report contains one gate with inputs on each page and indicates via transfer gates where the next gate/event will be located.
Note that the pages will be independent of any FTA diagram that has been created inside the tool. Nevertheless, all FTA label setting options will be applied on the auto-paginated diagrams. You can influence the events with the following FTA options (cp. Laying Out a Fault Tree):
Event layout: The size of the event boundaries will determine the size of the event text boxes. Make sure you have enough space that al labels are included.
Probability labels: The probability label "P" will be exported in the format given under Time Settings for Event Labels. For example, if you specify "Show probability at mission time T" this will be used for all events
Hide Frequency Label: This option will determine whether the frequency label "f" will be shown for the events or not.
A specific FMEA report is available for reporting a single FMEA worksheet. As opposed to the simple table report, the table content will show be shown in a structured way using cell spanning. However, only predefined columns will be visible:
Go to the report menu and choose "FMEA Report..." (cp. also Standard Tool Reports)
The reporting wizard comes up. The file format option is restricted to Excel (.xlsx).
Specify a file name and follow the wizard via "Next" to generate the document.
