16.1. Table Reports

Every table editor provides an easy to use reporting feature to export the table into e.g. Excel. The table report will export exactly what you see in the table editor as report, i.e. columns and rows which are hidden/filtered will not be exported. This allows also for partial export if e.g. a row filter is set (see Filtering Table Editors):

  1. Open the table from which a report shall be created

  2. Choose the "Generate table report" button from the editors button bar (top right in the editor) or use "Ctrl-R" shortkey

  3. The report wizard opens and guides you through the reporting process

For all reports (except the Trace Matrix) the layout of the report is adjusted to the layout of the corresponding editor, i.e. column ordering and spacing is respected. However, some limitations apply:

  • Icons of referenced elements are not exported

  • Cell spanning is lost: cells will not be merged as they might be in the tool editor

  • Coloring of cells is not exported

  • Checkboxes will be exported as "X" for checked and blank for unchecked
