Editing the Mesh and Blocking

You can edit the mesh and blocking in the following ways:

  • Mesh settings are available in the Mesh Options panel when one or more objects is selected. You can update the values for your selected objects. Changes are applied and the selected object(s) is remeshed when you click Complete. For more information, see Update the mesh settings.
  • You can modify the mesh on a particular region in the model using local mesh Controls. For example, you can create finer mesh on only one face of an object or add boundary layers for fluid flow analysis. For more information, see Managing local mesh controls.
  • You can edit the blocking topology independently of the geometry. Common reasons to edit the blocking topology are to make the blocking topology more closely conform to the geometry, to simplify the blocking, and to improve feature capture. For more information, see Edit the blocking.
