The deletion operation for an Edgeset is introduced in Delete Body Entities. When an Edgeset is deleted from a mesh, any contact which uses the Edgeset will also be deleted from the subsystem. When an Edgeset is deleted from a subsystem, the FE body and all related entities will also be deleted from the subsystem.
