3.28.9. Modal FE Body Output

The output of a modal FE body is introduced in FE Body Output. To show the stress and strain, the recovery process is necessary in the Postprocessor. This recovery will generate the nodal stress and strain from the modal displacement and finite element information. For a modal flexible body, additional output is reported as follows.

ParameterSymbolDescriptionDimension
Modal_Coordinate Definition of additional outputs of Modal FE body The modal coordinate which is used to calculate an elastic force for a flexible body in Equation 5–135 in the Motion Theory Reference. [For Mode]

For Position: Mass*Length

For Angle: Mass*Radians

Modal_Velocity Definition of additional outputs of Modal FE body The modal velocity which is used to calculate a damping force for a flexible body in Equation 5–136 in the Motion Theory Reference. [For Mode]Mass*Length/Time
Modal_Acceleration Definition of additional outputs of Modal FE body The modal acceleration which is used to calculate an inertia force for a flexible body in Equation 5–137 in the Motion Theory Reference. [For Mode]Mass*Length/Time^2
