Pulling Geometry When a Blocking/Mesh Exists

  • Pull operations can be defined prior to meshing or after meshing. The Pull operation can be parameterized using Groups.

  • When geometry is pulled when a blocking/mesh exists, the blocking/mesh tries to maintain the associations to the geometry. This can be used to define a parametric mesh.

  • If the Pull operation does not change the topology, (that is, the number of vertices, edges, faces remain the same before and after the operation), the blocking will adjust parametrically. If the geometry does change topologically, the association of the blocking entities is adjusted to the closest geometric entity, or the associations are released if possible. In some situations, you may need to adjust the associations manually after such operations.

Note: If a sheet body is meshed and you pull the sheet body to a solid body, the mesh will be removed as this operation is not supported.
