This node provides an interface to run Rocky simulations using the respective Python script interface.
Overview
The Rocky integration inside optiSLang uses the Python script interface to modify parameters, run simulations, and to extract results from Rocky.
Setup
Within Rocky, you must add parameters and responses to your project. These parameters and responses are extracted from Rocky and stored in text files in the same directory as the reference file. You then select the Rocky file as the input file in the solver wizard. The wizard creates a copy of this reference file with the results removed. This copy is indicated with _osl added to the file name.
The Rocky project file must be solved before it can be used in the optiSLang wizard.
Parameters
The parameters used within your Rocky simulation are shown as a list in optiSLang. The parameters can only be scalars.
Responses
The responses can be vectors or scalars and are extracted after the simulation using the defined responses.
Solver
The simulation is started as a batch call from the optiSLang batch node.
Parallelization
The parallelization is organized in the optiSLang batch node.
Settings
To change the settings, change the values in %APPDATA%\Ansys\optiSLang\optiSLang_ci_ROCKY.ini.
Name | Default Value |
---|---|
general.Version | 4.4.3 |
general.Install path | - |
Run Options
This node has general Run Options. The number of supported options is individual for each node.
Troubleshooting
Linux is currently not supported.
Ensure you set the value of the Version setting to your installed Rocky version before executing the wizard. If the optiSLang_ci_ROCKY.ini file does not exist, run the wizard once and ignore any errors. This will create the .ini file.
Supported Versions
See the Supported Integration Versions table.
