Ansys Speos Output

This node is used to extract Speos outputs into optiSLang. The node currently supports response values from Speos Simulation Report (*.html) only.

This node is directly installed with optiSLang version 2023 R1 and later. For previous optiSLang versions a custom integration is also available. Contact your local Ansys sales representative.

Setup

The node can be found in the Modules pane. Expand Process chain elements > Output nodes or search for it by typing the name into the search bar.

Drag the node from the Modules pane and drop it onto the Scenery pane or your solver chain.

Responses

To set up responses:

  1. Double-click the Ansys Speos Output node to open the integration dialog box.

  2. Click   and browse to the Speos Simulation report reference folder.

  3. Select the report and click Open.

  4. Set the path to Relative to working dir and set the orange path split position to define where optiSLang should search for the HTML file in the design folder:

  5. Define all responses that should be extracted by dragging and dropping them to the Responses pane.

Additionally, a number of passed, limited pass, and failed rules (regulation and customer specifications) are created by the node.

Run Options

This node has general Run Options. The number of supported options is individual for each node.

Limitations
  • The node currently cannot read the HTML file from a Head-up Display analysis. As a workaround, use the ETK node to define the responses that should be extracted and evaluated.

  • Currently, if Block recording is used for sensor definition, the node cannot extract results from the Speos report (HTML file). As a workaround, use the ETK node to define the responses that should be extracted and evaluated.

Troubleshooting

If the node fails, check for messages in the optiSLang log.

If you get the error message File *.html does not exist, then check if the path split position is set correctly (see Setup).

If there are no values displayed in the file, you might need to add or adjust the XML template in the Speos sensor.
