Connecting Nodes on the Scenery Pane

One way of defining connections is by directly connecting the nodes in the Scenery pane.

Condensed Mode

  1. From the menu bar, select View > Slot flyout view mode > Condensed.

  2. Hover over the right side of a node to open the output flyout.

  3. Click Send and while holding the mouse button, drag it over the left side of the second node to open the input flyout.

  4. Drop Send onto Receive.

Full Mode

  1. From the menu bar, select View > Slot flyout view mode > Full.

  2. Hover over the right side of a node to open the output slot flyout.

  3. Click an output slot and while holding the mouse button, drag the output slot over the left side of the second node to open the input slot flyout.

  4. Drop the output slot onto an input slot.

    Note:  Slots can only be connected if they have the same data type.
