Adding New Entries to the Registered Files Table

You can add new entries to the Registered files table manually.

Depending on the use case for your files, see the following topics:

  • General Workflow Building

These use cases focus on general workflow building capabilities (standard optiSLang usage).

    • General reference file(s)

Defines general file references for multiple uses. This is the common default use case, select it when no other use case matches. You can select and register multiple files.

    • Receive file

Receives file from a Process Data Management (PDM) database system. You can only select and register a single file.

    • Send file

Sends a file from a Process Data Management (PDM) database system. You can only select and register a single file.

  • App Creation and Automation

These use cases cover App creation and automation capabilities, files intended to be input/output files of optiSLang Apps.

    • Input file(s)

Define input files intended to be provided by an optiSLang App user. For each input file, an input file selector is added to the optiSLang App user interface. You can select and register multiple files.

    • Output file(s)

Define output/result files that are produced when an App is executed. Output files can be previewed and/or downloaded in the optiSLang App results monitoring. You can select and register multiple files.
