The following performance enhancements were made for Release 2024 R2:
Imported Remote Loads. The deletion process used when you reimport remote loads from an upstream system has been refactored and the processing time significantly improved.
Importing Abaqus Commands from External Model. Performance enhancements have been made for importing data from External Model into Mechanical for the Abaqus *SURFACE and *NSET/*ELSET commands.
Abaqus *SURFACE Command
Previously, the presence of numerous *SURFACE commands in the input file was causing performance degradations. Refactoring enhancements that handle *SURFACE commands have significantly improved processing speeds, ranging from 35% to 95% improvements. Note the following:
For 100-200 *SURFACE commands: 35% - 40% improvement.
For 400-500 *SURFACE commands: 45% - 95% improvement.
Abaqus *NSET/*ELSET Commands Ending with a Comma
Previously, when either the *NSET or *ELSET commands ended with a comma, the application interpreted it as a missing entity and gathered unnecessary command information. This inefficient data collection process has been refactored and the enhancements have led to improvements of up to 98%.
