The following documentation changes and/or enhancements were made for Release 2024 R2:
Boundary Conditions in the Mechanical User's Guide underwent significant changes, including:
Updates for new product features and user interface changes.
A new introduction that describes the workflow for applying boundary conditions in the Mechanical application.
A section on stepped and ramped loads (moved from the General Analysis Workflow chapter).
Re-organized content that follows the workflow for applying boundary conditions.
Structural Optimization Documentation. New theoretical background documentation has been added to the Structural Optimization guide to describe the Shape Processing Workflow for the various methods, such as topology, shape optimization, etc. In addition, theoretical material has also been introduced for Manufacturing Constraints, in particular, for the Member Size feature.
The addition of theoretical documentation will continue throughout future releases and documentation updates.
New Technology Showcase Chapter: Chapter 53: Acoustic Analysis of a MEMS Microphone
The acoustic analysis of a MEMS microphone has been added to the Mechanical Technology Showcase: Example Problems.
