Test Case

A rectangular plate of length l and width b is fixed on one end. A vector-oriented and tapered distributed edge load is applied (shown in Figure 557: Initial Boundary Conditions). The tangential component is excluded. The force components due to applied load are determined and compared with the reference.

Analysis Assumptions and Modeling Notes

Large deflection is enabled (NLGEOM,ON). The vector-oriented load option is specified (SFCONTROL with KCSYS = 2). The tangential component of the vector-oriented load is excluded (KPROJ = 2). Only the normal tapered loads, therefore, are present on the deformed configuration (shown in Figure 558: Deformed Configuration ).
