Configuring ASDforEV CAN Reader for Dewesoft Hardware

This procedure explains how to configure the ASDforEV CAN reader application with Dewesoft's DS-CAN2 device.

Prerequisites: CAN-reading software must be installed as described in Installing DewesoftX and its Plugin. Make sure the DS-CAN2 device is connected to your computer.
  1. Start ASDforEV CAN reader from Windows Start menu or Desktop shortcut.
  2. In the ASDforEV CAN reader window, ensure that Dewesoft is selected from the Hardware menu.
  3. In the ASDforEV CAN reader window, tick Initialize device connection to initialize the connection with the device(s).
    The initialization takes about 1 minute. Once the connection has succeeded, a green light appears.
  4. Load the DBC files.
You can now set up CAN signal connections.
