Generating an Animation

The following procedure helps you generate the animation as a video file according to the settings you defined.

Note: The Virtual Lighting Animation Tool is in BETA mode for the current release.

To generate an animation:

Prerequisites: You must have opened a XMP map or imported a *.xml file.
In the Operation tab, click Generate animation.

The Status bar shows the generation progress. A temporary folder is created where the XMP file is located and deleted at the end of the process.
A *.avi video file is created in the same folder as the XMP file.
Note: The highest resolution in the exported video is 8K. When the XMP resolution is higher than 8K (example: 10K resolution), the animation is still generated in a *.avi video file. However, the resolution in the *.avi file will not be 10K, but it will be downgraded to 8K.

When generating an animation, the color in the animation can slightly differ from the original XMP file due to the image compression during the video generation.

You can iterate on the timeline (timeline event or animation template), apply the modified timeline, regenerate the animation until you are satisfied and export the project as *.xml file.
