What's New
2023 R1 versions of Ansys application packages are available when creating virtual desktops and HPC clusters. See Ansys 2023 R1 Applications in the Recommended Usage Guide.
Note that the Ansys Mechanical RSM Cluster app is not available for 2023 R1 workflows. For 2023 R1, only the Ansys Mechanical RSM Cluster 2023 R1 - Leverages EFA package is available.
The Ansys Fluids HPC workflow has been updated to support Release 2023 R1. When submitting jobs from Ansys Fluent to an Ansys Fluids 2023 R1 cluster, you must enter two text strings on the Environment tab of the Fluent Launcher. To see the updated workflow, refer to Ansys Fluids Slurm Cluster in the Recommended Usage Guide.

Ansys EnSight is included in the Ansys Fluids 2023 R1 package.

Ansys Discovery and Ansys Motion are included as installation options in the Ansys Mechanical Enterprise 2023 R1 package. Previously, these applications were added separately.

Ansys optiSLang is now officially supported and is available in the Ansys Mechanical Enterprise package.

A What's new item has been added to the help menu on the main toolbar, providing quick access to the Release Notes.
When Ansys Gateway powered by AWS has been updated with new features, enhancements, and/or bug fixes, alert indicators on the toolbar and help menu provide a visual cue that something is new. For details see Feature Updates in Getting Started with Ansys Gateway powered by AWS.
A new Subscription page lets you see the details and status of your Ansys Gateway powered by AWS subscription and quickly access the AWS subscription management page if you need to make a change. See Viewing and Managing Subscriptions in Getting Started with Ansys Gateway powered by AWS.

When adding a shared folder to a file storage server, the folder's address in the resource tile is now displayed in a format that can be used when configuring clusters (hostName/share/folderName). Previously, the 'share' portion was missing from the path. (731501)

Issues with Windows SMB file storage servers getting stuck in the Installing state have been resolved. (797228)

In the hardware table, the heading of the 'Remaining physical cores quota' column has been changed to 'Remaining vCPUs quota', now correctly identifying the data being referenced in that column. (769644)

When editing project space settings, the auto-saving of changes is no longer delayed. (768957)

In the 'Resource type' column of the cost report, file storage servers are now referenced correctly. Previously, they were listed as 'PredefinedService'. (775513)

When viewing the Permissions page in the project space settings, the user list can be properly scrolled after changing the Users per page value to a larger number. (778055)
