Release 2025 R2 includes the following result enhancements:

  • Line Chart. For LS-DYNA analyses, the options and capabilities of the Line Chart feature have been significantly enhanced.

    New Chart Options Window:

    • Expanded Operations and Filters: More tools to manipulate and refine your data.

    • Display Options: Customize how your data appears in the chart.

    • Chart Axes Properties: Modify the properties of the chart axes for better visualization.

    New Context (Right-Click) Menu Options:

    • Label Data: Add labels to your data points for clarity.

    • Toggle Data Display: Easily show or hide data included in the chart.

    • Delete Datasets: Remove unwanted data sets directly from the chart.

These enhancements provide more flexibility and control over how you visualize and interact with your data.

  • Frequency Response Result. For this result, you can now further define the stress-based plot of your graph based on the following new Type property settings:

    • Equivalent Stress

    • Maximum Principle Stress

    • Middle Principle Stress

    • Minimum Principle Stress

    • Maximum Shear

    • Intensity

  • Force and Moment Reaction Probes. For Force Reaction and Moment Reaction probes:

    • When you set the Location Method property to Surface, the associated Extraction property has a new option: Select Only Nodes On Surface. Using this option, the application only examines the nodes that lie on the specified plane, as defined by the Surface construction geometry.

    • You can now scope a reaction probe to a Body-Body Beam. This scoping requires you to set both the Calculate Reactions and Nodal Forces properties of the Output Controls (Analysis Settings) to Yes.

  • Mode Shape Contours for Total Deformation. Now, when you set the On Demand Expansion Option property to Yes during a standalone Harmonic Response analysis, two new properties are available: Modal Result and Mode. Setting the Modal Result property to Yes displays the Mode property that you use to specify a desired mode value that evaluated the result for mode shapes.
