4.8.3. Shuttling Force

The shuttling force is a force change at bearings by the tilting moment due to the centroid shift of the mesh force along the tooth face width. The shuttling force can be performed as following steps.

Step Description
1Click Shuttling Force in the menu bar.
2Under Result, select the DFR filename.
3Under Object, select the gear moment of TX or TY and the applied driving or driven body.
4Set the Slice. See the definition for slice in Dynamic PPTE.
5Set the Start Time to determine the time interval.
6Click the Steps for "Shuttling Force"  button to create the graph.
7Click the Steps for "Shuttling Force"  button to close the operation.
