A nonlinear static analysis is performed in two load steps. Geometric nonlinearity is included in the analysis (Large Deflection: On), and automatic time increments are used.
The repositioning of contact nodes during wear can result in changing contact status. If the wear increment is too large, all contact elements may go from a closed status to an open status, resulting in rigid body motion. To prevent this, a very small-time increment is used so that the wear increment is also small and changes in contact status are minimized.
