The ARC Configuration application provides a simple, automated way to set up and deploy an Ansys RSM Cluster (ARC). The application connects to machines on your network, and establishes communication between them.
The application guides you easily through the following configuration tasks:
Identifying the master node
Identifying the execution nodes
Starting ARC services on cluster nodes
Associating the execution nodes with the master node
Adding queues to the cluster
Assigning execution nodes to each queue
Tasks such as starting ARC services on cluster nodes are achieved with the click of a button, with no additional input required.
If the cluster includes multiple nodes, you can configure all execution nodes from the master node, or run the ARC Configuration application on the execution nodes themselves. However, the master node can only be configured directly on that machine.
Before you proceed with configuration, refer to Prerequisites for ARC Configuration to ensure that all nodes are accessible and suitable for ARC configuration.
