Use EnSight's Calculator to define a loss per-unit-volume variable for Maxwell's 2D model.
In the Parts pane, multi-select all four of Maxwell's regions.
In the feature icon bar, click Calculator ( ).
The Calculator tool box dialog opens.
Click Build your own functions ( ).
For the Variable name field, type in
Loss_per_unit_volume__ES
.(For the sake of consistency, this tutorial is following System Coupling's naming conventions for EnSight variables.)
Create an expression that divides Maxwell's per-unit-area by the model depth.
Under Variable, click Loss_per_unit_area__ES.
In the calculator, click the / (division) button.
Using the calculator, type in the model depth,
0.08382
.
Click
.Click Close to exit the dialog.
The new Loss_per_unit_volume__ES variable is shown under Scalars in the Variables pane.
