Splitting a Free Block Using a Plane or Face

  1. Select the free block to be split using the Select target tool guide.
  2. Select Convert swept/mappable regions for Split Options, if applicable.
    When this option is selected (default), the split blocks will be converted to mapped or swept type, if possible.
  3. With the Select cutter tool guide active, select the cutter plane to split the block. You can see a preview of the cutter plane when you make your selection.
    1. Select a pre-defined plane or block face as the cutter plane.
    2. Select a combination of edges and/or vertices to define the cutter plane.
    The free block is split into separate blocks.
Note: Splits through many (more than one) holes are not currently supported.

For example, a split through multiple holes as shown is not supported for the Split block tool.
