Creating Edge Shape Links

To create edge shape links:

  1. Click the Select source edge tool guide .
  2. Select the source edge. Only one edge may be source at one time.
  3. Click the Select target edge tool guide .
  4. Select the target edge. The selected edge will reproduce the shape of the source edge.
    Alternatively, hold the Ctrl key to select multiple edges. When all desired edges are selected, release the Ctrl key to complete the link operation and to reset the tool to the Select source edge mode.

In the Link Edge Options panel, select the scaling Factor to set the degree to which the target is shaped.

In the following example, one of the curved edges on the cylinder end is selected as the source. The target edge is the straight edge at the bottom of the image.

With Factor set at 100%, the full curvature is applied.

With Factor set at 33%, the depth of curvature is reduced to 1/3.
