Adding a Driving Dimension for Rounds

Groups with driving dimensions are saved in the Groups panel. When you create a group for a round or series of rounds that have the same radius, you can change the radius by changing the value stored for the group. Likewise, when you create a group for faces with an offset relationship, you can change the distance between the faces by changing the group value.

To add a driving dimension for rounds:

  1. Click Pull in the Edit group on the Design tab.

  2. Select a round or a chain of rounds that have the same radius.

  3. Click Create Parameter on the Groups panel.

Now you can change the value for the group to change the radius of the round.

To add a driving dimension for offset faces:

  1. Click Select in the Edit group on the Design tab.

  2. Select a face with an offset relationship.

  3. Click Create Parameter on the Groups panel.

Now you can change the value for the group to change the distance between the offset faces.
