Postprocessing Plots

optiSLang Postprocessing offers multiple ways to generate new plots. You can use Python scripting or drag and drop plots from the Visuals pane.

You can select a plot layout in the Preferences pane from the Select layout type list.

Layout TypeFeatures
Classic Layout
  • Plots can be resized and moved around freely and may overlap each other.

Window Layout
  • Plots can be resized and moved around freely and may overlap each other.

  • Plot type can be changed directly in title bar. You can turn this functionality on or off in the Preferences pane by selecting or clearing the Show visual type comboboxes in Frames check box.

  • Pages can be switched directly in window title bar.

Frame Layout
  • Plot frames are snapped to a grid.

  • Plot type can be changed directly in title bar. You can turn this functionality on or off in the Preferences pane by selecting or clearing the Show visual type comboboxes in Frames check box.

  • Pages can be switched directly in the title bar.

  • Frames can be swapped.

  • Multiple frames can be resized at once.

  • Frames can be split horizontally and vertically to create new plots.

Every plot offers a settings view, where you can alter its properties. Some plots also provide additional views, for example, for data tables. You can switch between views in the upper right corner of each plot.
