Selecting and Reviewing Automatically Generated Contacts

To review contacts, select the Bonded Contacts (default) group, or any contact group, in the physics tree. Each contact pair is shown in the model as a single dot, or marker.

This section contains the following topics:

Selecting Contact Markers

If you hover over one of these graphical identifiers, Discovery highlights the two surfaces of the contact pair. Selecting the identifier shows the contact # and total number of contacts. If markers overlap, press Ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel to select them.

Note: Selecting any additional contact pairs does not deselect previously selected contact pairs.

Click to select markers for individual contacts to be converted.

Filtering Contact Markers

Filter to show all contact pairs on selected locations by selecting the body or face filter and then selecting one or more locations.

Narrow the review further by selecting the secondary body filter or secondary face filter and a location to highlight and select only the contacts between this location and the primary locations.

You can also ALT-click the secondary locations.
