Setting Up a Rotating Fluid Zone

To add a rotating fluid zone to simulate flow around moving parts:
  1. Click the Fluid Flow dropdown menu in the ribbon of the Simulation tab and choose Rotating Fluid Zone.
  2. Select a revolved body with cylindrical or conical outer faces to represent the location of the rotating fluid zone.
    Discovery creates a default rotating wall for the zone. The axis of rotation is automatically defined by the cylindrical or conical geometry.
    If your model contains named selections, click Advanced filters and use Link named selections to choose one from the list.
  3. Specify the rotational speed.
