2.5.4. File Extensions

Figure 2.58: Preferences > File Extensions shows the File Extensions tab in the Preferences panel. This tab allows users to customize the file extensions used as identifiers or filters during file browsing. It also allows users to customize the file extensions used for file creation for output and solution files. In most cases, we recommend retaining the default file-extension system. However users with specific needs may find this added flexibility helpful.
