10.4.4. Transformation: Translation

Use the translation transformation to move an assembly in the X, Y, and Z directions.

10.4.4.1. Method: Deltas

The Deltas method moves the mesh by the Dx, Dy, Dz values entered. Enter the Dx, Dy, Dz values with which to translate the mesh. This is equivalent to a displacement vector translation, using the origin as the start point of the vector and the point entered as the end point. A point can be entered manually or selected in the viewer after clicking any coordinate box. The working units are assumed to apply to the displacement vector components.

10.4.4.2. Method: Vector

The Vector option moves the assembly by the vector described by the From and To points.

Enter From and To points to describe the translation. These points can be entered manually or selected in the viewer after clicking any coordinate box.
