7.14. Stabilization in a Rezoning Analysis

If the STABILIZE command was issued in the original analysis, the damping factors from the original analysis are suitably remapped onto the new mesh. The stabilization energy quantity is also mapped to ensure no jumps are present after the MAPSOLVE procedure in rezoning.

Upon completion of the rezoning analysis, a restart is necessary to continue the analysis. In this case, if the energy-based stabilization-control method is used and STABILIZE with RECALCDAMP = 1 was issued in the original analysis, the damping factors are recalculated. Alternatively, you can reissue STABILIZE to modify the stabilization damping factor.
