Parameters are available to control many detailed aspects of the SLM build file, such as scaling, hatch pattern, slice thickness, up-skin and down-skin parameters, and so on. Parameters are grouped into tabs in the Build Processor panel.

Each layer of metal powder is arranged into one or more areas (volume, up-skin and down-skin). Each of these areas is exposed with its own build strategy, each with specific vector types.
