Frequent Audio Artefacts

Problem

There are frequent audio artifacts in the output sound.

Possible Cause

The I/O Vector Size and the Signal Vector Size are too low.

Solution

  1. Click the Audio config. button.
  2. Click the Audio settings button.
  3. Click the speaker button to turn off the audio output before changing the audio output configuration.
  4. Set the I/O Vector Size to a higher value (512 or 1024).
Note: The I/O setting has an effect on latency and overall performance.
  5. Set the Signal Vector Size to the same value.
Note: The signal vector size has a slight effect on overall performance. Ansys recommends setting the Signal Vector Size to at least 512.
  6. Close the Audio Status window.
  7. Click the speaker button to turn on the audio output.
