Setting a Shape
What is a Shape?
A Shape corresponds to the measure area to analyze.
How to create a Shape?
- Select the area to shape.
- From the Shape list, select the shape to create.
-
According to the shape selected, define the parameters.
The size of an area must at least be equal to 1 pixel.
Shape | Description |
---|---|
Rectangle Ellipse |
The area measured corresponds to the surface of the shape. Dimension and Center allow to define numerically the measurement area. Thresholds: allows you to discard some values before the measurement. For example if you set the minimum to 100, then the average measurement will discard values lower than 100. The average will then be higher. If you set the maximum to 200, then the average measurement will discard values higher than 200. The average will then be lower. For more information, refer to the Thresholds chapter. |
Polygon |
The area measured corresponds to the surface of the shape. The table of points allows you to define as many points as you want and respectively define their position. |
Horizontal Vertical User Line |
The area measured corresponds to the line displayed. For Horizontal and Vertical, Point 1 and Point 2 correspond to the position of the points on the edges of the map. The Sampling of the Section corresponds to the precision of the profile curve that you can display with the 2D view of section . Right-click anywhere in the 2D view of section window to open the 2D Chart Control Properties. |
Point |
The area measured corresponds to a unique pixel on the map. |
Polyline |
The area measured corresponds to the line displayed. The table of points allows you to define as many points as you want and respectively define their position. The Sampling of the Section corresponds to the precision of the profile curve that you can display with the 2D view of section . Right-click anywhere in the 2D view of section window to open the 2D Chart Control Properties. |
Corona (available with an Intensity map) |
The area measured corresponds to the surface of the shape. Theta and Phi allow to define numerically the measurement area. |
Radial (available with an Intensity map) |
The area measured corresponds to the radius displayed. Point 1 and Point 2 correspond to the position of the points at each end of the radius. The Sampling of the Section corresponds to the precision of the profile curve that you can display with the 2D view of section . Right-click anywhere in the 2D view of section window to open the 2D Chart Control Properties. |
Orthoradial (available with an Intensity map) |
The area measured corresponds to the circle displayed. The Sampling of the Section corresponds to the precision of the profile curve that you can display with the 2D view of section . Right-click anywhere in the 2D view of section window to open the 2D Chart Control Properties. |
