Automatic Framing

This page describes the Automatic Framing tool that allows you to reframe the 3D view camera to obtain a sensor's point of view.

Note: Automatic framing is only available for Radiance, Human Eye, Camera, LIDAR, Observer and Immersive sensors.

Automatic framing is a tool used to visualize the point of view of a sensor to see what this sensor will capture during simulation. It is useful to identify an incorrect framing or test different fields of view before computing a simulation.

The automatic framing viewing mode can be activated at any time during a sensor edition from the 3D view or from the sensor's contextual menu. To deactivate this view, just click back either on the icon or on the option in the contextual menu.
Note: Deactivating the Automatic Framing does not return to the view displayed before activating the Automatic Framing.

This tool also offers a dynamic visualization as the view automatically updates the sensor's field of view when editing sensor parameters like the sampling, definition type, active vision field etc
