Favorites in MI Materials Gateway

In MI Materials Gateway you can add materials and other records to personal Favorites Lists. You can also manage and publish your personal lists, and subscribe to lists published by other users.

Favorites Lists typically contain records that are used frequently, are used in a particular project, or have specific properties. Favorites Lists can be personal, so only you can see them, or published, so all users can see them and subscribe to them.

Favorite Lists can include records from multiple tables and databases. It is important to note that the contents of Favorite Lists can be access-controlled, you will only see the records that you have permission to access.

Note: Favorites Lists are not affected by the profile that is selected in MI Materials Gateway.
To view Favorites Lists:
  1. In MI Materials Gateway, select Favorites.
  2. Use the filters in the left-hand panel to see the Favorites Lists that are available to you.
  • To view the contents of a list, select it in the left-hand panel.
    Tip: Double-clicking a material will either import it as a CAE material model or assign it to your current selection in the Assignments panel, depending on your host application.
  • To create a new personal list, click Create a new Favorites list in the toolbar.
