If problems (convergence related or other) occur during a restart, it might help to test other options for continuation of analyses.
If a small restart (using d3dump) fails, try a full restart instead (using d3full).
Use a dynain file (from
*INTERFACE_SPRINGBACK_LSDYNA, see Restart Using dynain.lsda).Use a drdisp.sif file from a dynamic relaxation. Set IDRFLG = 2 on
*CONTROL_DYNAMIC_RELAXATIONto initiate to a predefined geometry.
