Chapter 5: Limitations and Known Issues

Note the following limitations for Ansys Engineering Copilot:

General:

  • You may be required to log in more than once.

  • Ansys Engineering Copilot does not have the ability to open files or save files, model setups, results, user queries, or screen shots. For details, see the Ansys Engineering Copilot User Notice.

  • Ansys Engineering Copilot is currently only available in the English language. However, the AnsysGPT™ assistant supports multilingual entries.

  • To change the product color theme, you must close and reopen Ansys Engineering Copilot to implement the change.

  • If you select an option (Home, Knowledge, etc.), and it fails to display properly, select a different option or close and reopen Ansys Engineering Copilot.

  • For either Fluent 2025R2 or optiSLang 2025R2, the download feature is experiencing issues and failing to initiate. Repeated attempts may close the window. Note that these files can also be found on the Ansys Innovation Space.

Home page

  • For optiSLang 2025R2, some search results aren't opening as expected.

Learning page:

  • Direct access to the Ansys Learning Hub (ALH) courses from the Learning page may not be supported. However, the AnsysGPT virtual AI assistant and the Search AIS feature of the Home page can find and reference ALH content. You must have a valid ALH subscription to access this reference content.

  • For best performance, use the Microsoft Edge™ or Google Chrome™ browser to open courses from the Learning page. The feature automatically uses your default system browser.

  • In Fluent 2025R2 and Lumerical 2025R2, when you select and open a course, the application does not respond if you try to select a different course from the listing. As a workaround, select a different page, return to the Learning page, then search for and select your desired course.

  • For Lumerical 2025R2, the PDF download feature for courses that include a handout is unavailable.
