6.13.4. UNV (Universal) File

Maxwell format - Element based

To create a Motor EM Force by using Maxwell format element-based results, all of the UNV, AMESH and ANF files are needed.

  • UNV file for the geometry information

Model type and rpm are defined in this file.

  • AMESH file for the geometry information

Two datasets must be contained in this file. The first is dataset number 164 to define the unit. The second is dataset number 2411 for the node information.

  • ANF file for the forces in 3-dimensional spaces

Two datasets must be contained in this file. The first is dataset number 164 to define the unit. The second is dataset number 2414 for the force information.

Maxwell format - Object based

To create a Motor EM Force using Maxwell format object-based results, only the UNV file is needed.

  • UNV file for the geometry information

This file should contain the position information for each tooth. This should be in the metaData block.

  • UNV file for the forces in 3-dimensional spaces

This file should contain the force information for each tooth and time. This must be in the loadPointDefinition block.
