3.5. Assembled Body (Rigid Body)

An Assembled Body is used to represent a body with six degrees of freedom or an EasyFlex body with RBE, weld and tie between multiple solids. This body is created as either a rigid body, or a nodal or modal EasyFlex body in a subsystem. The body has a geometry and material properties such as mass, mass moment of inertia and the CM body reference frame. The geometry can be defined by importing a CAD file or creating an intrinsic simple geometry such as a sphere, block or cylinder in a part file. The formulation for the assembled body can be seen in Formulation of Kinematics for a Rigid Body or Nodal FE Bodies, or ???? and its output is same as Solid Body Output, Nodal EasyFlex Body Output, and Modal EasyFlex Body Output, respectively.
