The following model is a simple brake disc-pad assembly. The disc has a thickness of 10 mm and the brake pads have a thickness of 15 mm. The inner diameter of the disc is 250 mm and outer diameter is of 350 mm. A pre-stressed modal analysis is performed on this model using various methods to determine the unstable modes.
