Import or Attach features, used to import CAD geometric data in the DesignModeler application will preserve body instance data in the CAD system. Either single body or multibody part instance data may be transferred to the DesignModeler application as parts (viewable in the DesignModeler application feature tree).
Instanced body import should be significantly faster when the Clean Bodies property is set to Yes, due to body cleaning only being performed one time for multiple body instances.
Note: Instanced body import will generally be more efficient due to more efficient Parasolid body construction.
