10.4.4. Importing Blades from CAD Models

CAD models can be imported from NDF files (*.ndf;*.xml) or script files (*.js) that have been previously made from a CAD model using BladeEditor. For details on exporting CAD models to files of these types, see Exporting Blades from CAD Models to NDF or Script Files.

To import blades from an NDF (*.ndf;*.xml) file, follow the procedure for loading an NDF file given in Loading Neutral Data Format (*.ndf;*.xml). Import from NDF has limitations as noted in NDF File Import Details and Limitations.

To generate blades from a script file (*.js) that is based on a CAD model:

  1. In BladeEditor select File > Run Script.

    The Open dialog box appears.

  2. Ensure that Files of type is set to Design Modeler Script (*.js).

  3. Select a script file and click Open.
